We are thrilled to have Julie Bortnick of “from prosecco to plaid” on My Life. A temporary New Yorker, Julie now lives in Texas and doles out daily advice for the home, closet, kitchen, and everything in between! We can’t wait to hear her fashion advice for taking our wardrobe into fall…
How it is already nearing the end of summer I am not quite sure. So long those carefree days, weekend beach trips, lounging on rooftops, brunch outside, and backyard BBQs. As much as I absolutely wish summer could last for the large majority of the year, what I get most excited for when it’s over is the fall clothing. From the fabulous boots over dark denim, to the comfy sweaters, to opaque tights with dresses, I love it all.
The Tegan dress is the perfect piece to wear when the nights are starting to get just a bit chilly. The sleeve length is not only chic, but also keeps your arms covered when it gets breezy. The hi-lo length allows you to show just enough skin, and the color blocking in blue-green shades is perfection.
Pair this dress with fabulous colorful heels or flats, a tan clutch, gold and colorful jewelry, and you’re ready for a night out with friends before the fall months officially hit. Lucky for all of us, this dress looks just as amazing with tights, pumps, and a sleek little leather jacket when the temperatures drop even lower. Versatility and femininity are a couple of the things I look for when picking out something to wear, and this dress absolutely has both.
